Destroyed in January floods 2013, the all new Toogoolawah Pedestrian Bridge is now complete and in perfect working order!
Kenro worked along with Queensland Bridge and Civil in order to manufacture, galvanize and deliver an award winning bridge catering for dozens of students who commute to the local high school daily.
In order to withstand natural disasters, the robust design incorporated collapsible heavy duty balustrades and barrier panel mounting brackets designed to give way in a flood but not float away. The collapsible barrier system was intentionally created to prevent the excessive build-up of debris and pressure on the bridge in order to withstand any floods in the future.

- Deburring (Linishing & Grinding)
- Galvanizing
- Delivery to site
- Inspection Test Plan (ITP)
The award winning design by Opus embraced the town’s former Nestle Condensed Milk Factory located nearby and created a stunning bubble pattern in the design.
“I’m confident that with these additional funds Council engineer will be able to design and construct a pedestrian bridge that will become a focal entry point to the Toogoolawah township,” the Somerset Mayor, Graham Lehmann really predicted what turned out to be an impressive masterpiece to the entrance of Toogoolawah.
